VPC: A Seattle Secret Exposed

Once a secret to those who didn’t live in the ‘hood. And that’s only because this place is waaay off the beaten path.

But now the secret’s out – and folks are flocking to the charm, comfort, homemade cooking and family-fun feel of this Capitol Hill character of a place.

Volunteer Park Cafe & Marketplace - a.k.a. VPC. A neighborhood gathering place. A laptop/notebook work-while-getting-people-time place (yes, they have WiFi). A brunch place. A lunch place. Even a dinner place with its own wine list.

Of course the locals love it, from the throw pillows right down to the wine rack; but it’s well worth the trip even if you’re not in the same zip code.

Although known for their terrific homemade pastries, a personal fav is the soup (your Hedonista ate there while meeting up with a friend one rainy afternoon – it was a very pleasant, unexpected surprise).
