Waterways: Open to the Public

November 11, 2009 by Hedonista · Leave a Comment

Ever wanted a tour of Bill Gates’ lakefront home in Medina?

Well, now you can … sort of.

Waterways Cruises and Events is now so much more than a fun “party boat” that offers mere corporate retreats or wedding party receptions. (Your Hedonista recently set sail with a media invite.) For now – and since this past June, in fact – you can book a dining cruise with them. And not the entire boat for you and dozens of your nearest and dearest friends, but for two. Or less, even. Upcoming events later on this month include:

Waterways: Now offering so much more to Seattleites!

Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet and Dessert Cruise – Not in the mood to cook up a big spread this year? Then sign up for their Thursday, November 26 Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet at their waterfront Lakeside Event Center, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (dessert cruise included) – $59.95 (Adult), $49.95 (Senior or Military), and $24.95 (Children 5-11 years old). Maybe you want to cook but still get out? Then skip their buffet dinner and sign up for their one-hour Dessert Cruise Tour of Lake Union – with departures on the hour starting at 12:00 p.m., with the last departure at 3:00 p.m. -$19.95 (Adult), $17.95 (Senior or Military), and $11.95 (Children 5-11 years old).

2009 Holiday Parade of Lights Cruises – first cruise to launch Saturday, November 28 (7:00 p.m. sailing time), with cruises right through until Wednesday, December 23 (7:45 p.m. sailing time). Enjoy noshies and tipples; for a bit more, you can even ramp up your appetizers for the evening – $29.95 (Adult), $26.95 (Senior or Military), and $14.95 (Children 5-11 years old).

Ah, the beloved Dark & Stormy - guaranteed to warm you up on cold, wet, Seattle nights on the lakes.

Just think of it – for the cost of a mere meal out, you can enjoy both a good meal and a boat ride. Think of it as your own personal yacht restaurant.

The “tour” of Bill Gates’ home – from the water while on the boat, mind you – is, of course, included.
